We are up and running now since September 2011 every Friday night from 8pm to 10pm in Mullagh Hall and we are doing lots of stuff: Discos, Pool, Badminton, Basketball, Playstation & DVD nights, Baking, Pottery, Tag rugby, Music, Board games, Volleyball, Table tennis, Tribal drumming nights, Educational nights, trips to cinema and much more.  We plan on visiting Thomond Park in February to see Munster V’s Cardiff blues.  Lots of fun for everyone.  New members always welcome. Remember you must first become a member to join in on all the fun!!!

The group meet every Thursday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm in the Meeting Room, Mullagh and have the use of the hall when needed for activities. We have Mass and the sacrament of Anointing on the 1st Thursday of every month. Activities include gentle exercises, dancing for the older person, cookery, beauty and floral demonstrations, local history, story and poetry readings, information days, bingo, table quiz etc and of course tea and a chat. Anyone male of female who is retired or semi-retired is welcome to attend and new members are always welcome. Present membership is 25 and average weekly attendance is between 15-20.

Our number of workers is small but has very good membership. We find it difficult to encourage new work members to join. We make vestments, some with embroidery, some with braid, embroidered altar cloths and other small altar linens, clothes for children and adults in Mission Countries. Some home helpers do knitting – baby items, quilts etc. We would welcome new members and if necessary, would be glad to teach anyone willing to learn some embroidery stitches. We hold a display every year, usually the first Sunday in May where we display our years work & have a cake sale. Lots of good friends in the Parish help with home baking. One member specialises in making homemade jams. We hold a church gate collection yearly. All proceeds go to helping foreign missions.
