A THANK YOU FROM FR. MARTIN SHANAHAN
June 8th, 2018I would like to thank everyone that supported me and helped over the past few years and especially last weekend for my Ordination.
It was a very special occasion for me.
I have so many ‘thank yous’. I’ll start with my son Eoin & all my family who have stood by me through
think and thin.
Thank God above all for my vocation.
To Bishop Fintan, for his guidance and direction through my years of training.
To Fr. Tom Hogan and his team in Ennis Parish and the staff of Ennis Parish office who prepared the booklets. and all my fellow priests for all their support.
To my cluster Críocha Callan, all the members of the choir who sang so magnificent on both occasions, to the musicians, The Kilmurry Ibrickane Football Club, Cooney’s Quilty Tavern, Apostolic Work Society, The FÁS group, RSS Group, the Finance Committee, The Pastoral Council, Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Sacristans, Readers, The Parish Office, Volunteers and to all those who baked food and catered for everyone.
To the Parish for my beautiful Chalice and Paten.
A special thank you to Fr. Anthony McMahon for all his help in making my Ordination weekend the success that it was.
If I’ve forgotten anyone by name, just know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Congratulations Fr. Martin
