The death has occurred of Gabrielle (Gay) Dillane, nee O’Flanagan, Clonlaheen, Mullagh, Co. Clare, formerly Church Street, Miltown Malbay and Mount Assumpta, Ballina, Co. Mayo. May 23rd 2025.
(peacefully after a short illness) in the loving care of her family and Milford Care Hospice & Cahercalla Community Hospital Ennis. Predeceased by her parents Tom O’Flanagan and Evelyn Hennigan, beloved sister June Smith and her Grandson Cian. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband John, devoted mother to her children, June, Stephen, Gail (McIntyre), Shane, Clare and Niall, beloved sister Lena Ahearn, brother in law Vincent Ahearn, son-in-law Michael McIntyre, daughter-in-law Cathy Dillane and Niall’s partner Erin, absolutely adored Grandchildren Stephanie, Justin, Liam, Caitriona, Meghan, Chloe, Evan, Jack and Lily, Caitriona’s fiancé Eddie and Erin’s children Brady and Shay. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, their extended families and her wide circle of friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the medical personnel who supported Gay and her family. Also special thank you to Fr. Donagh O’Meara and the many friends who have reached out to support our family in the last few weeks.

Reposing at The Holy Redeemer Church Coore (V95 RW84) this Sunday 25th May from 5.00 p.m. followed by funeral prayers at 7.00pm. Funeral mass on Monday 26th May at 1.00 p.m. followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Ellen Murphy, Scropul, Mullagh, Co. Clare, passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of her loving family, after a long illness, bravely borne, on the 4th of May 2025. Pre-deceased by her son James.
Deeply missed by her beloved husband Denny (Denis), loving daughter Denise, sons Paul, Declan and Sean, sisters Monica (Duggan) and Maureen (Kelly), son-in-law Darin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.
May she Rest in Peace
Reposing at Coore Church, Coore West, Mullagh, Co. Clare, V95 RW84, on Tuesday 6th May from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Coore Church on Wednesday 7th May at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of JJ Burke, Quilty, Co. Clare. Died peacefully on May 1st 2025.
Deeply regretted by his wife Celia, daughters Celia and Loraine, sons Patrick, Donal and Dermot, daughters in law Siobhan, Felicity and Marion, son in law Brian. His adored grandchildren, Pat, Shona, Aoife, Nicole, Natalie, Sorcha, Chantel, Caoilinn, Shay, Gráinne, Emer, Conor and Niall, great grandchildren, his sister Bridget, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews , relatives and friends.

Reposing in Star of the Sea Church, Quilty, on Saturday the 3rd of May from 4pm with prayers at 6pm. Funeral mass on Sunday the 4th of May at 12.30 pm. Burial afterwards in Quilty cemetery.

Dawn Mass at Spanish Point on Easter Sunday morning at 5.45am (weather permitting) Refreshments in the Spanish Point Golf Club after Mass. We welcome any donations of home baking on the morning, this can be dropped off at the Golf Club before the mass. Musicians are welcome to join us on the morning. Collection for the Burren Sub Aqua Search & Recovery Service during Mass.
