Call in and see the Tomás Ó hAodha ‘Maps and Memorabilia’ exhibition, explore our music and heritage archive and see our selection of books and CDs for sale. Opening hours: Wednesdays: 2pm – 6pm; Thursdays: 7.30pm – 10pm; Fridays: 10am – 2pm; Saturday: 10am – 2pm.

250 Mile Cycle Church Gate Collection

The Church Gate Collection in aid of the 250 Mile Cycle will take place in the weekend of 19 and 20 May at all churches in the Parish (and not this weekend, as wrongly stated in last weeks newsletter). All donations greatly appreciated.

Annagh N.S. Soccer result

Congratulations to the boys of Annagh N.S. on winning the County Clare FAI Primary Schools 5-a-side Soccer Competition for small schools, winning the final 3 – 1.  A total of 28 boys took part.  Annagh N.S. now go on to represent Clare at the MunsterCompetition in Tralee on the 16th May.  The boy’s squad are: David Sexton, Dermot Coughlan, Diarmuid King, Caoilfhionn O’Dea, Daniel Walsh (Captain), Zack Whelehan, Saul Boyd, Conor Sexton.  We wish them the very best of luck.

Congratulations to the girls of Annagh N.S. and their coach Ms Ann Marie Doyle, who were beaten by the eventual winners, in the semi-final of their competition.  A total of 19 teams took part in the girl’s competition. The squad were: Laura O’Donoghue, Caitlin Campbell, Emma Coughlan, Julie Ann Byrnes, Siofra O’Dea, Áine Talty, Lucy Flanagan, Rachel Mangan, Aileen Byrne, Laura Bynes, Georgina Hornsby, Isabelle Luff and Alice Tubridy.

We thank Denis Hynes (Dev. Officer for Clare) for his organisation of this competition and the efficient and professional manner with which it is run annually.
