I hereby apologize for the grave mistake that I made regarding to last weekends newsletter. Due to a mistake the notices about the Active Retirement Group and Monster Parish Fundraiser disappeared out of the newsletter. My sincere apologies for that mistake. Eddy Landzaat

Newly formed this year under the guidance of Loretta Hanrahan and mentors Pauline Tubridy, Kate Montgomery, Lorna Pender an under 8s and 10s girls football team was set up. They ran there first fun blitz in Quilty on Friday last. Kilrush girls came up to take part in 2 fun practice games. A total of 45 girls took part between the two clubs. We thank Kilrush for coming up to play. Loretta and her team want to get the girls interested at a young age, have  fun and learn some skills. There is training every Friday evening at 5pm in Quilty field for anyone interested in joining.  Contact Loretta: 087 7650199. More blitzes over the summer. Under 10s: Ava Burke, Sophie Daly, Roisin Montgomery, Amy Sexton, Sophie Kelly, Muireann Punch, Eilis Conway, Ava Downes, Amy Moloney, and Zoe Hynes.

We would like to thank Mullagh Entire Drama group for putting on there drama “Pretend Sick” last Sunday night. We thank them for their donation of € 1,000 to our u14s girls who have qualified to the national Féile in Laois at the end of June. We would like to thank all who gave spot prizes and to John and Nancy Doohan who sponsored our programmes. And to you all for coming out on the night to support it.

On Friday 27 may, KIB Youth Club hosted their first disco at their parish venue Mullagh Hall. The evening was very well attended and the general feedback from all attendants was very positive. It was complimented as a truly enjoyable night. The committee and mentors would like to extend a special thank you to the people that erected the marquee and prepared the hall for the event. Also thank you to the DJ on the night.
