Mary O’Dea

The death has occurred of Mary O’Dea (née Downes)
Mote Park, Roscommon Town, Roscommon / Quilty, Clare

Formerly of Seafield, Quilty, Co. Clare. Unexpectedly but peacefully at Abbeyhaven Nursing Home, Boyle. Beloved wife of Thomas and much loved mother of Karen Ferrick, Christopher and Patrick. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband, daughter, sons, son-in-law Noel, daughter-in-law Jackie, adored grandchildren Callum, Jamie, Daniel, Ciara and Conor, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at her home in Mote Park, on Friday, December 31st, from 4pm until 8pm. Walk through only please. Removal on New Years Day, Saturday, January 1st, to The Star of the Sea Church, Quilty, Co. Clare, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private outside of reposing times. Those attending the funeral please adhere to covid guidelines and regulations by observing social distancing and refraining from shaking hands. Condolences may be left here on rip.ie. Patrick Galvin

December 22nd, 2021

The death has occurred of Patrick Galvin, Quilty, Co. Clare, peacefully in Cahercalla. Predeceased by his wife Mary Kate. Deeply missed by his loving family, Sonya, Sharon, Siobhan, Patrick, Rory and Elizabeth, their partners Gareth, Elaine and Alan, grandchildren Liam, Eoin, Ieuan, Dylan and Daithi, his brothers and sister, relatives and friends.

May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his home on Thursday from 6 o’clock until 7 o’clock, for family and friends. Arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, on Friday to the Star of The Sea Church, Quilty, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Cahercalla Hospice, Ennis.

Please adhere to H.S.E. advice, of Social Distancing, wearing of face coverings and Strictly no hand shaking, please. Those who wish to leave messages of sympathy for the family, may do so in the condolence section below.

VACCINE FOR THE THIRD WORLD

December 10th, 2021

We in the First World are lucky to be vaccinated, in the third world vaccinations is very limited. As a Parish we have decided to help our neighbours in the Third World.  €50 will vaccinate 10 people, €100 will vaccinate 20 people and €250 will vaccinate 70 people.  We will link up with UNICEF and forward the money to them.  If you wish to become part of this initiative, you may drop off your contribution to the Parish Office.

Peggy Morrissey

December 7th, 2021

Morrissey Peggy, Quilty, Co. Clare and formerly of Mallow/Doneraile, Co. Cork, passed away suddenly following a tragic accident on 7th December 2021.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Martin and her parents Tom and Kathleen. Sadly missed by her loving son Marty, his partner Liz, great friends and neighbours.

Peggy will be reposing at St Mary’s Church, Mullagh, Co.Clare on Saturday December 11th from 3pm – 6pm. Requiem Mass will take place at 2pm on Sunday December 12th with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patricia Rynne nee Dinan

November 30th, 2021

The death has occurred of Patricia Rynne (née Dinan), Doonogan, Mullagh, Ennis, Co. Clare (formerly of Maghera, Tulla, Ennis, Co. Clare) on the 30th November 2021. Peacefully, surrounded by her heartbroken family, in the kind and gentle care of the staff of St. Joseph’s Ward, University Hospital Galway. Sadly missed and remembered with everlasting love by her beloved husband Gregory and children Dianne, Michelle, Niall, Greg and Elaine, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Ailbhe, sisters Mary and Bernadette, brothers Gerard and Michéal, aunties Nora and Josie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, loved grandchildren Eva and Elayna-Mae, extended family, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Coore, on Friday the 3rd of December from 3-6pm, finishing at 6pm, due to other Church arrangements, followed by Requiem Mass on Saturday the 4th of December at 12:00 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Sláinte an Chláir. Social distancing to be observed at all times.
