June 17th, 2016We thank all who are involved in making this possible especially the Moloney Family who allowed us access, the Rural Social Scheme (RSS) and many volunteers who cleared the space and prepared everything. Mass will take place next Thursday 23rd June at 8pm. This is the eve of the Feast of St. John the Baptist. There is a St. John’s well there. We hope families who have loved ones there will be able to be there on the night.
This will be a nice way to mark the Year of Mercy walking from different points to the Mass like a pilgrimage on the night. Walking from Quilty church carpark starting at 7pm. Walking from old Kilmurry graveyard at 7.30pm. As we walk along the roads we think of all who made this often sad journey in previous generations. Hopefully weather conditions will allow all of this.
