There will be a meeting of the Parish Finance Group on Thursday next 19th September at 8.30pm in Fr. Anthony’s House. All members are asked to attend.
We are registered by the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltach Affairs to apply for the seniors alert grant scheme. To date we have installed14 Panic Alarm Buttons for the over 65’s in the Parish. We are also registered to Muintir Na Tire who plan to roll out the Text Alert scheme in the near future. To help with the registration, Insurance and administration cost we are holding a Fundraising 4 mile family fun walk on Sunday 15th September at 12noon from Craggaknock Cross on Quilty / Doonbeg Road (weather permitting). The KIB Ladies Club would like to thank all our volunteers who worked so hard in the lead up to our All Ireland 7′s last Saturday. To all those who worked tirelessly on the day in wind and rain to make the event an tremendous success a sincere Thank you. It was a testament to our Parish and the surrounding areas of what can be achieved when people work together. Pat Quill the President of the LGFA was with us on the day he said that the whole event was outstanding and that KIB was now the home of this Annual National competition. Results Cup winners were Fermoy, Cork runners up ClareGalway. Plate winners were Sarsfields Kildare, runners up KIB. A special congratulations to our own Chloe Moloney on winning the Referees Player of the Tournament.
