Paddy Kelly

The death has occurred of Paddy Kelly, Clonadrum, Mullagh, Co.Clare peacefully on 14 February 2023 in his 92nd year, in the loving care of his daughter Marie and family.

Pre-deceased by his wife Bern and daughters Patricia and Helen and his sister Carmel. Paddy will be sadly missed by his daughters Marie (Spanish Point) and Siobhan (USA), his son in law Andy O’Donoghue, his adored and cherished grandchildren Caoimhe, Róisín, Cillian, Aoibhinn and Fionn and their partners Matthew, Shane and Luca, his brothers in Law Micháel and Neilus O’Doherty, sisters in law Jane, Margaret and Pat.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at St Mary’s Church, Mullagh, on Wednesday, 15 February, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm followed by prayers. Requiem mass will take place on Thursday, 16 February at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Donations, if desired, to Clare Care and West Clare Cancer Centre.

As a mark of respect Marie Kelly’s Pharmacy Miltown Malbay will be closed from 5:30pm on Wednesday15 February, and again from 11:30am until 2.30pm on Thursday 16 February.

The family would like to thank you for your sympathy and support at this difficult time.

Rita O’Dwyer

Rita O’Dwyer, originally from Co Mayo, living in Quilty since 1986, married to John, 4 children, and two precious grandchildren.  Self Employed.  In 2018 started a Certificate Course in Pastoral Ministry through Mary I in Limerick and the Diocese of Killaloe. In October 21 graduated and in April 2022, 24 of us were commissioned by Bishop Fintan Monahan in Cathedral Ennis.  I volunteer as a lay Minister of Pastoral Care in the Kilmurray Ibrickane and Miltown Malbay parishes, assisting Fr Donagh with funerals, visiting the elderly and housebound on the First Fridays, and reaching out to parishioners of all ages in any way I can, attempting to enhance and create more connection and links within our community.

Peacefully, at Cahercalla Nursing Home, Ennis, surrounded by her loving family.

Wife of the late Pat Joe.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons, Tom and P.J., daughters, Carmel, Berrie and Frances, sons-in-law, John Cunningham, Barney McCabe, John Barry and Ber Cleary, daughters-in-law, Marie and Marie, brother, Pat Joe Kearney (England), nephew, Michael Kearney (England), her adored 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, predeceased by her husband Pat Joe, daughters, Marian and Anne, grandson, Rory, her parents, Paddy and Mary Kearney & her uncle Martin Kearney.

May Mary Rest in Eternal Peace in Heaven.

Funeral Mass on Thursday the 26th of January in the Most Holy Redeemer Church Coore (Eircode V95RW84) at 12 noon, followed by reposing until 3.30pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Monica Kelly nee Pyne

The death has occurred of Monica Kelly (née Pyne) of Finure House, Mullagh and formerly of Kilmaley, Co.Clare. January 20th 2023 peacefully at Mowlam Nursing Home Ennis. Predeceased by her husband J.J, brothers Tom and Dan, sister Mary and nieces Patricia and Melissa.

Sadly missed by her loving brother Paddy Pyne (Kilmaley), sister Imelda Colletta (London), brother in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at St.Mary’s Church Mullagh on Sunday evening from 6 to 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
